Kevin is originally from Virginia where he graduated with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and Masters of Arts in Religion. He is the Pastor for Vision and Preaching at Aletheia Church (Gainesville) with duties including preaching, teaching and evangelism training. He is married to his beautiful wife Jackie and father to two awesome boys: Gideon and Josiah.
Dereck grew up in Galax, a small town in the Appalachian Mountains of southwest Virginia. He studied public policy analysis and public administration at James Madison University. While at JMU, he got connected with Aletheia Church, eventually signing up to move to Gainesville in 2012 to help plant Aletheia Gainesville. Dereck oversees community groups, a ministry he prays will equip the men and women of Aletheia to engage their culture in a meaningful and Christ-centered way. Aside from serving at Aletheia, he works in human resources at a local nonprofit and practices his dad-jokes on his wife, Caitlyn, and son, Trip.
Brent grew up on a small ranch in Wesley Chapel, Florida with his three older sisters and twin brother. After high school he attended the University of Florida and studied Family, Youth, and Community Sciences. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in 2006 and moved to Clearwater, Florida to serve on staff with Young Life for three years. After leaving Young Life, he moved to rural Alabama to take a position as Chaplain for a Residential Behavioral Healthcare facility for Boys ages 12-18 where he served for another three years. Since moving back to Gainesville in March of 2013, Brent has helped bring The Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops here to Gainesville and has managed the stores and events since. Brent joined Aletheia over two years ago and has served as a community group leader and host, men’s prayer breakfast host, and has helped lead the tech team.
