Special Events Team Co-Leader
Jackie grew up in Virginia, where she studied mathematics and secondary education at James Madison University. She moved to Florida in 2011 with her husband Kevin and is now mom to Gideon and Josiah. The vision for special events is to both build relationships within our body of believers as well as provide opportunities to reach out and invite others (friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc.) to join us in the fun.
Greeting Team Leader
Steven grew up in the sprawling metropolis of Orlando, Florida. After high school, he moved to Gainesville to attend Santa Fe College in 2007 where he met his beautiful wife, Myra. After graduating Santa Fe, he majored in Christian Studies at The Baptist College of Florida and is currently seeking his Masters in Biblical Studies there. After interning at Mosaic Church of Crestview and River Cross Church, he began attending Aletheia in early 2016. Steven’s vision for the greeting team is that it would serve not only as a first point of contact for first time visitors and guests, but that it would also serve to connect those already in attendance to further involvement with the church.
Myra grew up in Gainesville, Florida with her four siblings. She was dual enrolled at Santa Fe College her senior year of high school where she met her future husband, Steven. After graduating from Santa Fe College, Myra attended the University of South Florida majoring in Communication, Sciences, and Disorders. In 2014, she moved back to Gainesville and married Steven. She also helped to co-lead women’s Bible studies at The Family Church. She began attending Aletheia in January 2016. Myra’s vision for the volunteer ministry is to mobilize the church to be the hands and feet of Christ serving Aletheia, the city of Gainesville, and the world.
