Leaders at Aletheia Church Gainesville

Kevin was born and raised in Virginia, graduating from James Madison University in 2008 with a degree in Kinesiology.

In 2012, Kevin moved to Gainesville with his wife, son and 15 other people to start a new church, which became Aletheia Church Gainesville. He serves as Lead Pastor, and you can find him most weeks either preaching/teaching on stage or in the back around the coffee.

Kevin loves his wife, 2 kids (Gideon and Josiah), and pretty much any sport, both watching and playing.

Theo was born in South Florida and after 14 years moved to North Florida just outside of Gainesville. He graduated from the University of Florida after high school. He began his career as a middle and high school teacher for 10 years. He also helped plant a church in Jacksonville in 2011.

He visited Aletheia for the first time in November of 2017. He loves the community and the focus on God's Word. He serves the administrative pastor overseeing the church's operations.

Theo loves to play board games, cards, and watch TV shows and movies. He really enjoys outdoor activities as well like hiking and fishing. His favorite verse of Scripture is Exodus 20:1.

Daniel was born and raised in Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University before the calendar reached the number 2000.

He, his wife Leah, and four children left the church they planted and pastored for 12 years in Seattle with a desire to invest in college students. They spent the summer of 2018 driving around the country until God showed them that Gainesville was the next place they were to plant their lives. At Aletheia, he serves multiple roles as a volunteer elder and pastor: teaching, preaching, vision casting, and leadership development.

He loves to start businesses, work out, invest in young men, spend time with family, and watch college football.

Nick was born in Philadelphia, raised in Delaware, graduating in Pennsylvania at Clarks Summit University with a Youth Pastoral Degree in 2018. He served in various capacities in the Youth Ministry at his home church and God continued to open doors to serve, even around the world in South America & Europe.

After serving for 5 years as Youth Director for a church in upstate New York, Nick was seeking where the Lord would have him serve next when he came across Aletheia. After seeing the pursuit of the whole church to seek and know God, making Him known to the next generation, he began praying about whether this could be an opportunity to be a part of a larger team to glorify God. Through much prayer, Nick believes this was the direction God was leading him and is excited to both serve and grow in seeking the Lord.

Nick, along with his wife Ruth, enjoys playing sports, board games, and almost anything competitive. His favorite verse is 1st Corinthians 10:13.

Josh was born in Florida but was raised in Pittsburgh, PA (Go Steelers!) until 2011 when his family moved to Gainesville. He graduated from the University of Florida in the fall of 2018 in Construction Management and now works for Foresight CGI. He's proud to be husband and father to the most incredible wife and son, Ruth Ann and Judah.

He first visited Aletheia in the Fall of 2017, and was immediately drawn the strong gospel centered messages and community. He has had the privilege to serve as the Worship Leader since the end of 2018.

Josh loves being around people and, just like Isaiah, holds firmly to the adage that, "it's not what you do, but who you're doing it with." This includes studying theology, music, card/board games, and any sport you can name.

Victor was born and raised in South Florida. He is currently a senior at the University of Florida where he is pursuing a bachelors in Aerospace Engineering.

He first came to Aletheia in November of 2019 and decided to make Aletheia his home church when he found a community of encouraging, God loving believers. After he began serving with sound in March of 2021, he fell in love with the craft, and is now serving as the Tech Director.

Victor can often be found watching Formula 1, playing games with friends, or in a deep YouTube rabbit hole of tech videos. Although he really enjoys spending most of his time listening to a variety of music.

Michelle was born in South Florida and then moved to Central Florida at the age of 7. She graduated from the University of Florida in the Fall of 2021 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies. She is currently working on her master's degree in Family Marriage Counseling at UF.

She was looking for a church in Gainesville, and her home church recommended Aletheia. She visited Aletheia in the summer of 2018 and found an amazing community of strong Christians who made her feel at home. Michelle volunteered her senior year working on the administrative side of the church. She found out she enjoyed it, and now she is serving as an Administrative Assistant.

Michelle enjoys spending time with her friends, watching movies, and being outdoors. She is also creative; you will see her making bracelets, origami, and most recently paint-by-numbers.

Isaiah was born and raised in Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida where he currently works as a multimedia specialist.

He first visited Aletheia in the spring of 2015 and fell in love with the gospel focus and community. He has attended ever since. He now serves as the Creative Director, overseeing tech and social media for the church.

Isaiah loves being around people and holds firmly to the ideal that, "it's not what you do, but who you're doing it with." He enjoys Catan, pickleball, video recording, swimming, long walks, TV and deep conversations.

Kyle was born and raised in Palmetto, FL. He is a third year Engineering student at the University of Florida with a minor in Horticulture.

Before arriving in Gainesville in 2021, Kyle was familiar with the community and culture of Aletheia through an older brother who had previously attended. Kyle himself then found Aletheia to be a loving community that both challenged and encouraged him to grow in his faith.

Kyle is very outgoing and active and would take any opportunity to chase the wind for a chance to kiteboard or play basketball with friends. He also relates to many nerdy things from Star Wars to Lord of the Rings.
